Love Meter

Hi Precious Ones ~

How are you this Valentine's Weekend?
I pray that you have an inkling of just how much
GOD Loves you!

Too often we depend on human affection and
validation to warm our hearts and
buoy our self-esteem.

It's so "natural" to crave
human expressions of love,
but when we leave God out,
we lose big time.

Life has taught me that even the best of friends
or truest of mates can't fill our hearts with a
consistent, sustained, unconditional LOVE.
Only Jesus Christ can do that!

What a Savior, what a friend!

Now, as we allow HIS Love to flow through us
we will experience the following:

the ability to be Patient and Kind,
the lack of envy and boasting,
Humility not pride,
Tack not rudeness,
Other-centeredness,
Acceptance not anger,
Forgiveness,
Trust,
Hope and Perseverance.
(1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
Wow! Can you imagine living that way?
LORD, help us to love with Your Kind of LOVE.
Have a LOVE filled Day!

  1. Yeah! I get to be first to comment! It is so true that we often look to others for that validation or love that only our precious Lord can give us. He is the only one who can bear ALL our burdens. He is the only one who can fill all the empty places in our hearts. Thanks so much for this reminder today. Oh, how I love Jesus!

  2. Hi Jessica,
What a truthful post! It is so so true, that only He can really love us in every way, but I sure am glad He also uses our husbands, children and friends. Sometimes it is nice to have a lil
    Jesus with flesh on him!!
Hope you and Tony have a Wonderful Love Filled and Fun Valentine's Day!
Blessings Sweetie, sure hope you are feeling
    much better by now,
    Nellie

  4. Happy Valentine's Day, dear Jess.

Your post is very encouraging. I am doing a Bible study using the book "Christ Life" by Ruth Meyers. In her first chapter she talks about what you just posted about. Thank God for Jesus who truly fills us, knows us and loves us!

    Blessings,
