Race On!

I'm experiencing something weird this month...
I keep referring to August as APRIL!
What's with that?

A New Month brings new Opportunity.
We can approach it with freshness and hope, or with dread and resignation.

Where are you  in this journey of Life?
What is your greatest need today?
Can you let yourself experience ALL that GOD has for you?

I attended a women's conference yesterday which had an "Olympics" theme.
Entitled "Run the Race," the event revolved around the following scripture:

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
                                                              Hebrews 12:1

In a nutshell, we were reminded that GOD has a particular, personal race for each of us to run.  As individuals, our races will be different than anyone elses'.  It will take perseverance, determination and focus to complete the race, but our GOD is available to help us every step of the way!

Don't quit on your dreams.
They may be the race that GOD has called you to!
Seek Him.  Trust Him.  Obey Him.
And so complete the race He has marked out for you.

Encourage those around you to stay true His leadings and guidance. They need to complete their own races and we need each other's support!

Race On Sweet Friends!

  1. Hi Jessica,
Very nice post, bet the conference was great!!
So how are you girly??? and how is Tony???
    and the kids and grandies??
    Hope all is well...........

Things are very good with us, we are excited as Scott and Megan just moved into a new home last weekend here in Deltona. Never dreamed that would ever happen, God is so amazing.
Things at church are great.......we are in a
class on the 2nd half of marriage and the challenges you face, it has really been good.
Jim is still loving his job, and we are still working to keep him healthy. He just had an
echocardiogram on his heart a few weeks back and
that had good results as well, so God is good,
    nothing else to say!! lol
Well there is but better not say it now, or this will be a novel................
    Love and blessings, Nellie

  2. Jess, The Lord must have had you write this just for me today; I really needed the encouragement. There are days/hours/weeks/years that we can get really weary if we depend on our own strength. He alone is able to save and restore what the locust has eaten. Praise His name. Thank you for your faithfulness in writing.
    Hugs, Noreen

  6. I've thought of that verse several times during this Olympic season...it is so true that God has "marked out for us" an individual journey...Thanks for that reminder!
