Getting a Grip Once Again ~

Precious Ones,

This journey of life involves so much pain.
Sin has tainted every aspect of our experience
and the trials that are common to man threaten to overwhelm us!
Yet through GOD's incomparable Grace we can not only survive but thrive!
What a miracle!

Christ came to make it possible for us to have Real Peace.
Through His obedience to the Father, by giving His life as a payment for our sin, we have the invitation to be redeemed and know the Joy of belonging to GOD.

Right now, many of you are experiencing challenges not of your own choosing...
be they financial, physical, emotional or relational.
Despair crouches at the door of your heart, wanting to devour your peace and hope.
But GOD!

HE promises to give you a way to endure and to triumph over your problems.
Recently, my good friend Rebecca posted the following quote on FaceBook:

"Faith is not about everything turning out okay.
Faith is about being okay no matter how things turn out."

As I read this I was reminded that the purpose of my life is to bring GOD Glory, through all the challenges and trials I face.  Sometimes I'm fairly good at this, sometimes I fail utterly.
But keeping my eyes on my Loving and Kind Heavenly Father will keep me in line with His Will.

Today my sweet friend Jacquelyn added this to her FB status:

O let my trembling soul be still
And wait Thy wise, Thy holy will!
I cannot, Lord Thy purpose see,
Yet all is well since ruled by Thee.
                                ~John Bowring

And so I'm reminded once again to trust that: GOD not only sees everything that comes my way but also filters each event through His Hands of Love.

"LORD, please give me the stamina and faith
to walk through all that you allow to affect me
and to bring you Glory in the process.  Amen."

  2. Hebrews 12:12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 13 "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. 14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile man.

Let's KEEP ON encouraging each other! Thanks for these words, Jess!

  3. Morning Jessica,
What a great post, so full of truth!
I too, read Rebecca's quote on her blog, liked it very much!
It is so true that the Lord is more than able to keep us in peace and joy, He promises to keep in perfect peace, him whose mind is stayed on Him.
We have truly experienced that during this over
1 yr. period of unemployment. Plus He has more than taken care of everything. There is not one thing we have needed that he has not provided... plus more. He truly never ceases to amaze!

Hope all is going well with you and Tony, you two are in our prayers,
    Love and Blessings, Nellie
