The Real Reason

For Celebrating -
Let us not forget...

True JOY is found in the Love of GOD
Who sent a us a Savior
on Christmas morning -
JESUS the Christ!
My Family is home and my heart is full,
yet I am so mindful of those I know who
have suffered loss,
who are missing a loved One this Christmas,
or suffering physically,
or despairing financially...
"LORD GOD, please make your
Comforting Presence
known to each one.
Tuck them under Your Mighty Wings
and shelter
them from pain.
Please shower them with
Your Grace and Hope. Amen."
......................

Have you ever heard this Christmas song?
My hubby and I used to sing it
on Bainbridge Island, WA.
when we went caroling with church friends.
If you know the title,
please share it with me -
The Chorus goes like this:
Christmas isn't Christmas
til it happens in your heart.
Somewhere deep inside you
is where Christmas
really starts!
So, give your heart to JESUS,
you'll discover when you do,
that it's
Christmas, really Christmas
for you!

CHRISTmas Blessings from

My heart to yours!

  1. Merry Christmas to you and your family. It does seem that there have been many who are suffering this year. I think of little Abby in the hospital and Andrew who died last week. I pray that many will be comforted by loved ones and the prayers of their sisters in Christ.

    Blessings,
    Debbie

  2. Oh Debbie,
It has been a hard year for so many!
    Especially for those "left behind."
The Hope of Glory is that a wonderful reunion awaits believers who are separated by death!
Keeping our focus on GOD's Grace and the Glory of Heaven brings comfort and joy in the face of loss.
I pray that this Christmas, though tinged with sadness, will bless your heart in unexpected ways. Thank you for taking the time to visit.

  4. "Christmas isn't Christmas until it happens in your heart." I really like that phrase. Hoping you are over your cold. Sounds like you have 3 weeks to establish renewed habits of health....I'll be praying for you, Jess.

  5. Jess, I had to laugh as I read that you couldn't sleep. I too am that way some nights and I often find myself reading blogs. But I am glad you came to visit me on Heart Choices.

May you have a wonderful 2010.

I look forward to reading more on Jewels for the Journey.

    Blessings,
    Debbie
