Recovering from Puppy Fever

Have you ever felt it?

When a little critter looks you in the eyes,

licks your face and

your mind loses the ability to reason...that's PUPPY FEVER!

Even as we sped down I-75, driving over 16 hours straight

to bring our new "baby" home,

we knew it was folly.

Blame it on AENS

(Advanced Empty Nest Syndrome)

 or

estrogen depletion...we made an expensive mistake.

 All the way home...

between multiple rest stops, antihistamines

and puffs on my inhaler,

we prayed that it would all work out with Derby Dog.

For at nine weeks, he stole our hearts...

and we tried every avenue to keep him...

including a trip to the allergist and purchasing an expensive air filter!

Here he is having a "bad hair day!" Can you relate?

We lived around barriers and newspapers

for almost 2 months.

Paid for him to be groomed.

Now you can see the Poodle part of his

Lhasa-Poo mix.

After many trips to the Vet and all of his shots...

God finally revealed his Forever Family!

Praying that Derby Dog will continue to bring

his new family much joy.
